Recently, my two sons had taken a liking to sewing. Being enrolled in a montessori school, they are introduced to basic sewing skills and methods, but were wanting to know more. Though we have a sewing machine at home, and they were both able to master the basic stitches and functions, I thought it would be a great idea to further their understanding as it is a great life skill, after all! We ended up getting lessons from Pam Utecht on the Westside of Cincinnati. The boys were able to pick out fabric on their own before arriving and made their own pillowcases.
