As we transition into the fall season with cooler temperatures, less daylight and the holidays, our wardrobe transitions as well. These trends can be implemented at any age, with the ability to add your own personal twist to many of them. Remember, getting dressed should always be fun!

We love this trend! Capes are not only stylish, but functional as well. They’re perfect for those days when there’s a crisp in the air.
Trend #2 – Leather
Leather, leather, leather. We can’t get enough of it! This season, treat leather as if it were denim and wear it as a staple. You can find leather everywhere in all different styles. Whether you choose to use it as an accent or work it as a complete look, you’ll be right on trend.
Trend 3 – Winter Whites
No white after Labor Day? NO WAY! Not only is white now acceptable after August, but the trend is now to wear white on white. Simple. Classic. Chic. All of the above. Try it!
Trend 4: Midi Skirts
We absolutely love this 50’s trend! Midi skirts create a polished look with a fun twist. Wear with heels or flats for versatile way to transition from office to out at night.
Trend 5: Over-the-Knee Boots
Whether you’re most comfortable with heels or flats, a thigh-high boot will elongate the look of your legs and keep you warmer when the temperatures start dropping!
Trend 6: Turtle Necks
I know…you’re thinking are turtle necks really in? The answer is yes! Stop picturing the simple cotton fold-over neck and explore the land of turtle necks! There are so many options with different types of necks and fabrics. Not only will you look stylish, but you’ll be kept warm! A big trend of the season that goes along with turtle necks are pairing them under jumper/shift dresses. This is a good way to transition some of your summer and early fall looks into the colder months!
Trend 7: Statement Outerwear
How fun is this trend?! It’s the worst when you have a cute outfit on, but it’s so chilly that you have to cover it up with a jacket. When shopping for a statement coat, make sure it keeps with your style, but don’t be afraid to go a little out of your comfort zone. Don’t be afraid to be noticed!

Trend 10 – Hot Hues
The hot colors for this season include a wide range or pastels, grey, navy and army green. These colors are very easy to wear together. For instance, pairing navy and army green works fantastically! Also, using the simple trend of color blocking is a great way to make getting dressed in the morning easier. HINT: color-blocking can be monochromatic!
